A Spring Spruce-up

Well, I just got sick of the way this site looked, so I’m redesigning it. It was too, well, red, and with all those links all over the place, frankly it was a little ongepatchket.

So, I’m tinkering away, and now it’s at the point where it needs to be live in order to really get it working. I’m on the fence about the colors and the Courier font, which I love in print, but never seems to quite work on screen.

Let me know what you think.

  • I love the colors. The font is not bad. It’s readable and looks okay.

  • I like the green and purple, but the blue on the far sides doesn’t thrill me. The font is fine by me.

But what the heck do I know? :-)

I’ll address your new design in haiku:

    I too am not thrilled
    what’s a designer to do
    about the bright blue?

If I was a synesthetic, I’d probably be singing Stravinsky’s Concerto for piano and wind instruments whilst looking over the new design.

  • Lynn, Patty, Ian and M – thanks for caring enough to comment! I may horse around with that blue if I have time. Doesn’t particularly bother me.

Ian, lovely haiku. I’m not sure, but I think I heard somewhere that “If I was a synesthetic…” was a regional variant on the familiar folksong “If I had a hammer”.
